Does X3: Albion Prelude supports Multi-Core Processors
Can anyone tell me that this game has support for multicore. Currently i am using the i7 930 clocked to 4,1 ghz. Even after having a good CPU I don’t know how I am getting Low FPS. The graphics card is GFX and the HDD is a VelociRaptor 600. What could be the issue?
Re: Does X3: Albion Prelude supports Multi-Core Processors
If the game would be a prerequisite 3 GHZ then it would start at the 3 GHZ does not arise. 3 GHZ are just given as an indication. Accordingly, the 3 GHz assuming but not just recommended. Most games ran / run even with the correct settings to something worse CPUs without any problems.
Re: Does X3: Albion Prelude supports Multi-Core Processors
Short and sweet is the conclusion of our test: Six-core processors bring players still absolutely no advantage CPUs with four cores dual-core processors, but are clearly superior. Four cores were 73.0 fps even slightly faster. Ranks well down the CPU with two cores and an average of 63.4 frames per second. If we have the six-core virtual cores via hyperthreading add-on, the gaming performance remained almost constant (72.1 with HT compared to 72.5 fps without HT).

The turnout at the CPU’s is made, not only in our portfolio clearly outweigh the multi-core processors.
The software development makes use of the multithreading less than we would wish (even in games), but slowly, the better (as you can see in some modern games). Therefore, the answer to the question must be: Yes, Multi-threading with more CPU cores and threads will prevail on PCs and consoles also.
