Does harmony one remote controls iTunes?
Hi, i am very former user of iTunes and i like all the feature it provides but still as far as organizing it concern i would say its quite difficult but still i have heard about the universal remote through which we can control this but is I'm quite unsure about it as whether this Harmony One can properly control iTunes. I can navigate iTunes pretty well with my MCE remote, so I don't think the Harmony One should have any troubles, isn’t it? Any suggestion regarding the same will be esteemed.

As you have mentioned like you already have one remote through which you control the machine, and if so then why you wanted to have another one? are you are having any problem with that?
Anyways as far as this harmony one is concerned i can say that you can surely make use of it with the iTunes as well.

well, i would like to let you aware about the fact as Harmony can control just about any device that has IR, like an Apple remote etc.

Yeah exactly, I do have problem with the remote i am using. While iTunes opens, the focus is on the playlist column on the left and the arrow keys on either the keyboard or my MCE remote adjust the track.
And the thing is like i am not able to change the focus from the playlist column to the albums/songs, thus right now i am in coverflow view. Once I click the mouse over to the main window, the arrow keys function as predicted - up and down cycle through songs and left and right cycle through albums. This would be ideal, apart from how do I vary focus without by means of the mouse? So this is actually the doubt like whether this is possible with a Harmony One or not?

I do have the same problem with the iTunes but still i am considering it as some mistake with the settings that we have to done in the iTunes. There should be some settings through which we can change it.
Re: Does harmony one remote controls iTunes?
By the way can you please let me know which operating system you are using in your machine? because see i have came across a thread and in that they have mentioned like Harmony remote is messed up after wake on sleep in OSX Lion.
With the most recent OSX Lion (10.7.2) there is very huge problem controlling iTunes using a remote after it wakes from sleep? Navigating up and down on through the remote attempts to adjust the volume. The OK button to confirm a selection activates iTunes. This is irritating while I am utilizing media software like XBMC.
