Why iMail is often creating draft of sent mail in Mac OS X Lion
Can anyone explain why iMail (Mac OS X Lion) is often the creation of projects of the emails sent or save a bunch of numbers in the same project without any reason?

I have the same trouble - often sent mail appears in the Drafts folder and the sent items folder on the IMAP server from my Mac mail dot com. This trouble does not occur in every email sent - which can be a problem with e-mails with attachments.

I am also having this trouble. I tried to erase and goes and then returns. I tried to delete the address and send to myself, and again it comes and goes. Yesterday double once more. I tried deleting all my devices and the cloud, and again returned. At this point I do not know what else to attempt.

Does not give much information, IMAP, POP, mail settings, etc. attempt to go to Mail Preferences / Accounts / Mailbox Behaviors uncheck the "save draft messages on server".

I can make use of a Gmail account and icloud as well as IMAP.
Deselect the option works, nevertheless then if I can keep a project on my Mac, I cannot access it on other devices. His solution defeats the purpose of having a draft folder always synchronized.

If you make use of the default settings to set this alternative then you might have noticed that you have many more projects stored in the Drafts folder as expected.
I always advocate using IMAP as an alternative of POP to access their mail servers, nevertheless it turns out that Apple Mail has a routine of saving drafts on the server every minute or two. If you spend much time writing an important email (eg 30 minutes) are multiple copies of mail stored in the Drafts folder.
Re: Why iMail is often creating draft of sent mail in Mac OS X Lion
These are the setting intended for IMAP GMAIL favored Apple Mail. If you are using AOL then just un-check the drafts and spam boxes. With these amend, you can still save a draft of the computer, nevertheless will no longer mail copies of the draft of what you're writing every few minutes.
Note that all projects previously saved automatically by Apple Mail "server" will disappear when making this change. You should make sure not to want to finish and send first.

In the Mail menu, click Preferences> Accounts> Mailbox Behaviors
Code:
Drafts:
Project store messages on a server> do NOT check
Posted on:
Store sent messages on the server> do NOT check
Trash:
Storing unwanted messages on the server> checked
Delete junk messages when> Never
Trash:
Move deleted messages to trash mailbox> do NOT check
Store deleted messages on the server> do NOT check
