Is anyone aware of the iOS5 Keyboard Shortcuts
I have recently bought iOS5 and while messing with it I have came across a feature which was actually not mentioned on any sites as well. What you can do is just go to the Settings->General->Keyboard and then below you will find Keyboard Shortcuts and there will be a preloaded shortcut and using this you will be able to create any shortcuts that you want just for eg you can type "geml" in order to replace your gmail address and say "ceml" for iCloud email address and you can also create a keyboard shortcut for "addr" and then you can type your complete address in just some letters. Is there anyone who has tried so and can share the same shortcuts with us as well? Any Suggestion regarding the same will be appreciated.

Re: Is anyone aware of the iOS5 Keyboard Shortcuts
I was not yet aware of this feature in the iOS5 but now I think that it looks similar to that of the TextExpander. I have used TextExpander and it was really great where you can use the shortcuts for multi-line snippets for e.g. email signatures. I just wanted to know if it also provides the complete TextExpander features or just a part of it and I also wanted to know that is there any limitation for creating these shortcuts. Is anyone aware of this by now? Any further help will be appreciated.

Re: Is anyone aware of the iOS5 Keyboard Shortcuts
Even I am aware of this feature and I was introduced to this by one of my friend. I have tried using it with autocorrect turned off just because I get pissed some times when I type on other language using the English letters. I have used the shortcuts like im to i'm so you don’t have to care for typing apostrophe I have also set some of shotcuts that are used frequently while texting for e.g I have made din for don’t and leme for letme and many more it really provide a ease while messaging.
Re: Is anyone aware of the iOS5 Keyboard Shortcuts
Yes even I have a habit of using the English language letter for some other languages for eg when you type dono then the English spell-check would be something else. The other way I have found for easy testing is that you can have a Keyboard for the language that you want because iOS5 gives you these options to choose any native language keyboard or the default English keyboard as per your wish. Just check out them and see if it helps.
