Windows 8 dual personality on Tablet
Do you know the secret? Microsoft has a large work in front to create this double personality work. My restricted testing demonstrates that the Metro interface is not usual to utilize through a mouse as well as keyboard, as well as the desktop mode doesn’t work fine through touch. It’s similar to a single size fits all shirt that is far excessively huge into the shoulders and far moreover tight just about the waist.

Microsoft said in the keynote that Windows 8 Build a PC less taxed than Windows 7. The memory consumption is reduced and a similar system to run fewer background processes. This should result in better performance. In addition, the new Metro-interface 10 and Internet Explorer use of hardware acceleration, the speed should benefit.

We noticed immediately that the new Metro-interface on the Q550 a lot less smoothly than we've seen. Also Windows 7 is the Q550 no speed monster and Windows 8 seems not to improve this. The interface is less smooth and the framerate is lower, so fewer animations look good. In addition, the machine seems not fast enough to finger gestures on the touchscreen to keep accurate. This was most readily be seen in the drawing application. In normal desktop environment is also what was noticeable and sometimes shocking up windows.

The touch is the big story of Windows 8, though Microsoft insists on equal treatment reserved for the mouse and keyboard (or the stylus). However, the emphasis is on direct interactions "As soon as you use the touch screen on a PC, you will want to touch on your entire PC. I promise you that the minute you use a Windows 8machine with touch as soon as you return to your laptop or desktop PC you'll get fingerprints all over your screen "Sinofsky launched.
