How to upgrade Windows 7 drivers on Dell Vostro 1500
My Dell Vostro 1500 laptop is running with Windows XP, SP 3. The laptops previously came with this OS. Now i want to upgrade Windows 7 in it. However I am getting driver update from Dell site only for Windows XP. Do you think that I will then able to get drivers update for Windows 7 also? Do you think that the applications or drivers downloaded from official site can be installed and used in Windows 7?

After a few more hours I have found the cause of the problem! She is incredibly stupid! Although the manual is clearly my Vostro 1500, it was a Geforce 8600m GT is built and this is also listed online in the technical specifications from Dell, my internal model actually only a "Mobile Intel 965 Express" is equipped graphics card. Windows 7 only has the right obviously does not get it.

It is a laptop.... It is basically everything has been installed automatically with the Win7 installation, but in Device Manager is just still an unknown device and the battery level is a yellow exclamation mark.

Windows 7 works perfectly on this notebook, which is fully compatible with all models .Windows 7 automatically installs drivers for all devices except for the Ricoh Card Reader drivers which can be downloaded from other source and installed manually (Device panel updating drivers unknown devices and not the setup that you see in the archive, may also work well, I did not work though), there are probably newer versions of drivers rich, but I assure you I tried having the operation, the first of these, other versions that did not work.
