Intel i3-380m processor vs. Intel i3-2310m processor for photo editing

Hi, I am about to build a new machine for myself but don’t know which configuration should be better, thus when I was searching about the same on internet I got some specification, but still I have some doubts regarding the processor, because the major purpose of the machine I am having is for the photo editing, so I think for that I must have to have that much good configuration as well.

I have mentioned two processor in the title thus please let me know which one would be better to have.

according to me you should try to check the specification from their official website, because from there only you can have perfect Idea about both the product and you can simply compare them as well.

according to my suggest you should have Intel i3-2310m processor, along with the specification mentioned below,

RAM - 4G of ram
Motherboard - ASUS SLI WIRELESS
GFX - EVGA nVIDIA 8800gts 512mb Graphics card
CABINET - Antec 900 case
PSU - 700 watt
hard drive - 500G
monitor - 22 inch

will you please let me know which other hardware you about to install with the processor you have mentioned? Because the thing is like though you have that good rather enough processor but if they are not suitable with other hardware so it would be next to worthless.

see I would like to give you my personally recommended configuration for the machine you are expecting, thus In your machine you can have,

Processor : Intel CORE 2 QUAD Q9550 2.83 GHz

GFX - Radeon HD 4870 - 1GB

RAM - 4 GB (maybe I'll go up till 8 if needed)

HDD- SATA II hard drive (250GB for OS + 500GB 32MB for Data and scratch)

operating system – windows 7

well, whichever processor you purchase but still according to me you should put more emphasis on the GPU rather than the CPU.

Because assuming as you must a professional cs4 user thus for such an application you must have to have good graphic card installed in the machine, otherwise those programs would not work the way you have expected.

And still I would say you should try to go through the processor buying manual before purchasing any of the products.

see though you get some good recommendation about the machines, but still you should try to contact a good computer engineer for the same because they are quite expertise person in this field.
