WD 1TB HDD not working fine after getting dropped
Actually I have computer at home. While doing some shifting that my brother dropped the hdd on the floor. Since then it is not working properly. Since then I am having some problems regarding I am getting some noise from the hdd. When I plugged it in I saw that there was no video folder there which was present there. I have tried different computers but still the problem hasn’t resolved. I don’t know what to do? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Re: WD 1TB HDD not working fine after getting dropped
I think that the hdd has lost its partition table. I would suggest you use a tool called get data back for NTFS to see if you can recover anything from it. Actually you would ideally have the drive connected internally to your pc’s sata connection to speed up this process with a 1 tb drive it can take long time.

Let me tell you that hard drives are very sensitive to shock. I assume that most likely you have got it trashed. I would say that you should take your hard drive to a professional so that they can retrieve data for you. Don’t try to do anything with the hard drive. Remember that more you mess up with the hard drive; less is the chance you are going to get the information off it.

I would say that you must try to recover its content with active delete. The scan will take a little time but it will minimize the loss of any file.
