How to make disassemble video for the Acer Aspire 5742G
Hey friends, I'm getting an Acer Aspire 5742G-7200, a couple of days. I wonder if other people have this laptop (any variant). Maybe I could make one. How-to video on the consideration that, apart If you own one let me know. Also, if you want to tell me how amazing it is that's fine too. I have not been active. So here's my early New Year's resolution.

Let me tell you that I had the 5742G (the Canadian version, specifications exactly the same actually -, - only more expensive), but decided to RMA for lying about the GPU (the same 7200 GPU, but in acer . ca says GT425M). I'm getting a 5553G sent to me right now, $ 50 more expensive. BUT, quad-core processor, 6 GB RAM, ATI 5650 GPU, 4 USB ports instead of 3 (on 5742G), and Dolby audio speakers. When I first saw Acer laptop was actually tempted to get the 3820TG but was so small. I can use my laptop mostly at home as well, 15.6''have to be. In addition we have here in 4820TGs Canuckland.

AMD N930 CPU processor performs on par with lower-end Intel i7, but consume energy in the level of the i5 (35W). In addition, the AMD CPU + ATI GPU means that even switchable integrated graphics is more powerful than an i5 + ATI GPU combination. Radeon HD4250 with the 5553G you like switchable graphics on board and tons more powerful than Intel GM4500 (sp?) With a similar low power consumption. You can play L4D on low-med settings without problems which says a lot.

According to me The new notebooks with Core i do not use the Intel GMA 4500MHD, which uses the Intel GMA HD (Intel GMA 5700MHD aka). That is almost twice as powerful as the Intel GMA 4500MHD and is on par with the Radeon HD 4250. They were thinking of the old combo Core2Duo + 4500M. I read about that before. It's a shame much cheaper i5 + discrete GPU does not really allow you to change the HD integrated GMA (for example, the Acer 5742G), so it's a lost cause unless the laptop has optimus. It helps a lot in games, more than a certain amount it starts to make less of an impact (increase it really helped the Phenom II about the phenomenon
