re: Windows 7 x86 installs fine then hangs on "Setup is preparing your computer for first use
you first need to recover your operating system for that you need a bootable disc of window 7 .Insert your window 7 bootable disc and then and then u see a instruction to press keyboard button to boot from the disc then press the keyboard button and then will see a form containing lots of option select the first options “Startup Repair” then your system may take few minutes depending upon your RAM and that your system will get reboot itself and start normally.

Instead of that you can also do is try format your operating system drive this will definitely going to solve your problem .Insert your Window 7 bootable disc if your system automatically detect the disc while switching machine on go to BIOS setting over there select the BOOT Priority to your disk drive then save and exit the settings reboot the system & windows setup will begin and follow the instructions that what appears on the screen. In such a way you have to format your C Drive that is your operating system drive and it will cause any data loss. But select only the C drive only for format while the Setup asks for.
