Amber Light gets on while booting Atheros AR5007

I have just upgraded my Compaq Presario CQ62-410us with a new Wi-Fi Adapter card that I just brought from the atherios and but after upgrading my laptop with the latest drivers I have found out that the Laptop when booted turn on all the Led in to blue light (which is a good) for some time and then it would again return to amber color (which is bad) , so that makes my WI-fi connection disabled every time I login into my laptop is there a point that I missed while updating is that a fault of the WI-fi adapter card.

I was having exactly the same problem with the DELL laptop that I used , I also upgraded it with a WI-if adapter card and was facing the same problem , but since I am a tech guy used various other methods and tip so that I could fix my problem , but could not find anything wrong from my site as I have done everything that should make it run , so I tried out various weird stuff and found out that clicking your WI-fi buttom makes your WI-fi start again , I don ‘t know how that works but , that really worked for me

That was a very good idea given by the above user, I have used it and that has made me Wireless network work again but, and yes a pretty weird think that only very few people can think but that would be more helpful from me if anyone here could provide me with an accurate solution for this topic and more over this would also help me to gain a better control over my wire-less network as I don ‘t want anyone to peep inside my Laptop.

I think you should try running the HP wireless assistance as that would help you to gain more control over the network that you are using as that might just help you to find the exact error that is causing the problem just try that and tell me if you get that solved by the hp wireless assistance . If is not there then down land it from the official site and install it on laptops as that is a crucial software that is needed by you in this point of time .

Have you install the driver that is needed for the WI-FI adapter card that is there, if not then I would strongly suggest you to install the drivers, you can download the drivers directly from the official website as without the driver it won‘t be possible from the Wi –FI adapter card to run properly, that‘s ios exactly where the problem lies so I think that you could be able to solve it if you install the drivers properly .

I too had this problem with the Compaq Presario laptop that I had , I ran the HP wireless asstiance and that came out clean with the problem , initially it did not started proper ly so I had to re-install it again and then try it but , is the location that I tried was fine , I mean I open it installed it and the n clicked on the HP wireless Properties and then check the box which said that in depended control for independent devices , and then saved the settings , was that right ? Please help

I just called the hp service center and they told me to explain the problem that I was facing they told me the same steps that you are telling me this was also the same that you told me but then I could not figured out the problem and hence they called me at there service center that made me to take my laptop there and the geeks there solved my problem in no time as there were the experts in that field .
