GSATA3 Vs SATA3
Hi, I have a motherboard with the capability to support Gsata as well as sata hard drive to it, but as I am familiar with the sata but I don’t know anything about the Gsata, and I am planning to have one hard drive, but not getting which one would be better for me as, sata would be the general one that we usually use in the machine, so what is the difference between those two hard drives? And if I would like to choose among, which one would be best. Thanks for any suggestion.

Re: GSATA3 Vs SATA3
See as far as I know there are not so many differences in the hard drives, but yeah some little things are also concern able like in Gsata3 you’ll get faster speed for accessing the data as well as for organizing the data. As for gsata that's the same as it always been. GSATA is controlled by the Gigabyte chip where as SATA is controlled by the Intel bridges. Thus if specified the option between GSATA3 and SATA3 most likely the GSATA3 will be quite reliable, as the data transfer rate is too good.

Re: GSATA3 Vs SATA3
G-SATA from G-Technology is intended to maintain specialized content formation work flows in which performance and dependability are dominant. G-SATA features the newest serial ATA (SATA) disk technology for ultra high data transfer rates to 135 MB/second, that you’ll not get on usual sata. And are you sure that your motherboard has any such slots on it because you need check one more thing as you must have to have Available 32-bit PCI slot for connecting this hardware, so first of all make sure and then buy the same.

Ok thanks for your superior suggestions guys as it was helpful, and in fact I was also about to buy the same only, but was little bit unsure about that as I haven’t heard it about ever, but thanks again, and I would like if someone tell me the steps to install this on the PC for the first time. will I get any manual or guide through which I get the reference to install the same?

Re: GSATA3 Vs SATA3
I would like to tell you about the installation as you can find the same in the manual also. For installing the Gsata to your computer first of all you need to Install the SATA PCI adapter, after that connect G-SATA to your computer and then Initialize G-SATA for exercise with your option of operating system.
Follow this steps :
1 - Select an unfilled PCI expansion slot to install the G-SATA PCI adapter.
2 - Place the PCI card bracket by facing it towards the rear of the computer. side with the gold connectors of the G-SATA PCI adapter over the PCI slot and quietly press it into the PCI slot until the card is resolutely seated.
3 - Join the supplied SATA cables to the G-SATA PCI adapter.
4 - Append the supplied SATA cables to the rear of G-SATA and join the power supply cable.
