How to dual boot windows 7x 64 bits with windows xp
Hello friends, I want to some advice to all of them. I have a personal computer 16 bit with windows XP. I love to play game. But this system I have assembled it myself. But I want to install the windows 7 x64 on this system, because game doesn’t support. But when I install the windows 7 then it requires 4 GB RAM. An issue is I have some 16bit games that I like to play. That’s why I was thinking of running XP under 7 x64. But that’s not working with 16 bits games? That’s why I want to dual boot for this purpose. Is it possible or not? I have installed 2 x 1TB SATA2 drives in this system. Is it reasonable or not?

I think it’s sounds similar to a perfect instance of what XP Mode was designed for. I keep away from multi-boot systems like the infection. Particularly for people who are not going to need to contract with any problem that happens from them. To make simpler and virtualizes. Even if XP Mode is not an choice, you would be astonished how simple it is for non-tech people to utilize a Virtual Machine once and configured accurately. I think it will work on your system.

According your problem with considers to XP Mode. I have hot exchangeable drives that utilize SATA and XP notices them when I connect them in. I also connected in an external drive and XP observed it. My thing would be that if you utilized in XP Mode with the SATA drivers are built-in or are utilized via the host machine so that should not be a problem. Allow in mind that that XP Mode wants at least Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate.

As I know about the XP your XP is a logical drive. Windows can load to, but you cannot boot from a consistent drive. So you cannot observe NTLDR. As I know All XP's boot files have been loaded in the "system" partition (that's the flag, not the tag). It just occures to be the one also branded System Reserved by the Windows7 install. Let EasyBCD 2.0 autos configure, and do not modify the drive it identifies. So you can do the dual boot. But before doing you will download the PDF file from the internet. Because my friend told it is available on the net.

You would almost certainly want to set it up for them (i.e. make the config files for any games they loved to play). You could then create a batch file, script or shortcut to start the game, which means they would not have to fidget with the config files. I appear to remember that the final time I utilized it, all I did was:
- Located it in the suitable AppData folder.
- Formed a batch file to begin DOSBox with the config file.
- Formed a shortcut to describe the batch file.
- Located the shortcut in my Start Menu
