Unable to update Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini by using PC Companion

i am having Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini. Well i am having an issue while updating the phone of mine by using the PC companion. I have tried to install the update on the computer of mine but it seems to be failing while doing the same. Also it is generating an error message while doing the same. Let me know if you are aware of anything regarding the fixing the problem of mine. i am waiting for the prompt replies of yours. Thanks a lot in advance.
