How to lock a directory in a USB Flash drive
Hi guys I am having a 32GB flash drive. I usually use it to store many downloaded tools and utilities for my computer system which is running Windows XP. But whenever I plug in the flash drive to my computer, the antivirus installed in my computer detects some utilities and tools as some kind of viruses and delete them permanently. So I wanted to know is there any software by which we can lock our files and folders thus preventing the antivirus from detecting them and deleting them. Please reply to my thread and help me.

Yes, it is possible to lock your files and folders in directory thus preventing the antivirus from detecting your utilities and tools folders as a virus and deleting them. I make use of Folder Lock Software to meet my need to lock my important files and folders. Folder Lock is a very fast program which provides security to your files. With the use of Folder Lock you can password-protect your selected files. You can even lock, hide and encrypt large number of files and folders. You can also perform these actions on different Drives (Flash drives, memory sticks etc), images and documents. The protected files are Hidden, encrypted, and highly secure. You can’t delete them unless you have the access to them.
