MSI 785GTM-E45 unable to support CPU

Hello everyone, I am using MSI 785GTM-E45 with current BIOS version 8.6, then too it is not able to to support CPU. I have already checked on the official website of MSI but I am not getting the proper working processor with MB support. This motherboard is not able to start CPU and processor. When I tried to select MB from official website, then I got page not found reply from the web site. Even I tried web site for CPU upgrade but there also I found that current BIOs version is 8.0, and I am using 8.6. I don’t know how can this possible that they are showing BIOS 8.0 which is already outdated nowadays. I am not able to download BIOS version because it is not listed there on the website, why this is happening? Can anyone help me please.

Yes I have seen your problem, and I can tell you is I have personally experienced this thing. You must try with international website of MSI, which starts from Global, I guess, I don’t remember now, but you will solve your problem I am sure. On this website you will find direct download access for BIOs version, and also you will know which BIOS is outdated and which is newer. This website gives the information about compatibility of the processor with BIOS version and MSI motherboards. I think it will be enough for you to know about this. Try it.

Hey thanks friend, I was having the same problem and I have tried the international website of MSI and I have got the proper compatible BIOS version with my MSI785GTME-45 motherboard. But now I am having other problem that after I updating BIOS temperature of CPU suddenly gets high and after loading windows it is getting low and comes to normal temperature. So my question is that why this is happening, I am getting tensed for this temperature issue, I have tried to set fans of Cabinet but then too I am having the same problem, is it possible that it can crash my system? Can anyone help.

Hey what you are saying I don’t think it is possible that BIOS can go to such high temperature, are you using enough thermal compound, if you are using it in a proper way then try to download proper BIOS update from MSI website. Because as per my knowledge you cant reach such big temperature and suddenly come down to normal temperature in short time, there must be some problem with coordination of CPU and cooler. Or your heat spreader is not working properly, try to check for these things.

Hey thanks a lot man, I have check the website it’s amazing information about MSI motherboard over there, also I would like to tell you is I have solved the problem regarding compatibility issue. Also I was having temperature issues in my cabinet, but after reading your post I have tried all the things but it was not working for me, then I changed my cabinet and reassembled all the peripherals, now things are perfect with me, I am using system smoothly, thanks you all for reply, you all are awesome.
