Give Console Lan access only not Wan
Hello friends, I have a Sony PS3, my brother and I use game as a media player. The media exists in my computer that is linked to a BT HomeHub2 (Wired) and the PS3 is wireless. Now I would like to have only access to the LAN among the PS3 as I do not want my brother playing in the online comfort. What is the most excellent method to do this instead of disabling the network on the PS3 every time the brother wants to play? I am very thankful of all of you.
Re: Give Console Lan access only not Wan
I heard some solution from my friend so as per my friends opinion o would like to tell you that, in an ideal world you would set an agenda in the router that through certain hours blocks the mac address of the play station 3 from the internet. He used to system a schedule that simply allowable his children on the internet from six pm to eight pm Saturday and Sunday noly so they could do homework. I hope this will help you and solve your problem.
Re: Give Console Lan access only not Wan
That is a great thought, but the parental admission controls only displays relations through mac address and my play station 3 does not come into view in the drop down bar. I can’t physically place a mac address into this for a number of cause – It is weird as the router does not show the play station 3 linked at what time I am linked to the hub in the display current relations list, but I can discover it among the in the Display DCHP desk list among IP and MAC addresses?
Re: Give Console Lan access only not Wan
MAC record typically is informative not editable. If you see the MAC listed in dhcp you should be equal to then confine that MAC. If the router only can restrict by IP do a IP reluctance [associate the MAC address among a IP address – play station 3 will only get that IP address forever] and do your scheduled constraint pedestal on that IP address. I hope this solution will help you to come up the trouble which you faced by networking issue.
