WD Live Plus streaming device unable to work when connected to PC
For watching movies and TV I use a WD Live Plus streaming device that I have installed and it works very fine. However, when I connect it and try to use it to access my computer, it gives an alert along with an anonymous login screen. Here it asks me to enter a password.But I don’t know what the password is. As it was not working it tried without putting the password but as expected even it didn’t work. I then also tried the password admin, but it didn’t work as well. It does detect my computer since I see the computer name. So does anyone know how can I get the password?

I think that you might have got a password at start of your program. So you just need to find that if there was a password given by you to start your program. If it has been given then you can just check it out and then enter it. It will solve your problem immediately. Or of that doesn’t work then there is one more thing that you can try and that is you need to uninstall and reinstall the program but you need to take care to see if a password is requested at any point .You can check out with this possibilities and I think that it will help you to fix your problem.

I think that this is not an admin or user account password that it is looking for. This is a login and password that the WD Live Plus device asks for when trying to access my computer remotely. It populates the login portion and then keeps on asking for the password. However, I tried it without anything and I still cannot access my computer or any other drives. I see my computer's name from the WD Live so I know it can see the computer, but I need to be able to disable this login feature or even find out what login or password to use if any.

Even I agree with you that this is not an admin or user account password that it is looking for. This is a login and password that the WD Live Plus device asks for when trying to access your computer remotely. So to run the program you need to uninstall it. And this process should be followed by the reinstallation process. This will provide you the user name and password. So I would tell you to follow this process. It will surely help you to get away with the problem you are facing.
