Windows 7 unable to display 1920x1080 resolution on 1080p LCD TV
I recently tried to update my Windows Vista Home Premium PC to Windows 7 (32 bits), and during installation learned that Windows 7 is having problems with displaying the correct resolution on the LCD TV I'm using for my screen. In the middle of the installation, the TV shows "Not Supported Mode" on the screen and stayed that way. I suspect that Windows 7 is trying to display a resolution that my TV could not handle, so to solve this problem, turned off the computer, temporarily connected a second LCD monitor via DVI (dual display settings) and became the PC again, which allowed me to complete the installation of the update for Windows 7. This also let me see my Samsung TV was being detected as one of the screens, and "recommended" resolution of this TV was being detected as 1920x1080, which is the resolution that was originally used very well in Windows Vista. Now with Windows 7, the highest resolution I am able to display on my Samsung TV is 1360x768 ... decisions that increase because of "unsupported mode" shown in a black screen.

By default, Windows loads the most primitive VGA driver during installation, for compatibility. Try Visiting the site of Your Chipset maker for the suitable drivers, and I mean Intel or AMD, ATI should not have three types of up-date for drivers for your needs:
- chipset drivers. This is your onboard graphics support and access to processor chips.
- video drivers. These are needed for your operating system
- DRIVING PROCESSOR. These update your BIOS and make better use of instruction physical game processor built in. Download and install all of your system and you will be able to remedy their problems.
Re: Windows 7 unable to display 1920x1080 resolution on 1080p LCD TV
With only the LCD TV connected through VGA, I attempted pushing F8 during boot my PC and tried to choose the boot option of "low resolution (640x480)", which says let me change and adjust the resolution of screen. I thought set the resolution to 1360x768 (which worked well in the temporary dual monitor setup) so the PC can at least start up and show something on the screen. Oddly enough, I was able to see the logon screen of Windows, where I entered my password, but when I presented my password, the screen went back to "Not Supported Mode." Therefore, it still seems that I cannot set my screen resolution and the PC is still booting up to "Not Supported Mode" on the screen. Anyone have any suggestions?

I would advise you to check if your Display card drivers are advanced; the following are the steps to update the drivers.
- Unlock Device Manager, click on the Start, click Control Panel, click System and Maintenance, and after that click Device Manager. If you are provoked for an administrator password or confirmation, enter the password or give confirmation.
- In Device Manager, place the apparatus you wish to update, and after that twice click on the device name.
- Click the Driver tab and after that click on Update Driver and pursue the instructions.

I attempted to update the driver for your video adapter as specified, and said that "The greatest driver software for your device is previously installed." The video adapter driver is "ATI Radeon 9700 Series." Both the PC and the TV off, I tried to turn the devices on the two sequences that specify ... PC first, followed by television ... and television first, followed by the PC (this is the way they normally do). Both sequences gave rise to the same "Not Supported Mode" message appears. I'm not quite sure what he refers to as "Samsung TiVo, but I looked in the settings menu on my television, and saw nothing that seemed" Messages and Settings "or" Video Output Format "or options any available when a selection is "hybrid."
