Does MeeGo support Multitouch hardware

I have gone through almost all the websites finding information about how to get this Meego run on the multitouch hardware but there was none that I could be able to get from any where. The problem is that I would want to know whether the Meego run on the multitouch kernel that I am currently having on my system. The biggest problem is that I don’t have the click events on the multitouch that is the multipointer X, so I have to move the X cursor across the screen all the time. So can any one know that how will I be able to get this problem solved as quickly as possible.

I have also tried searching your query on the internet and even I faced some difficulty in getting the information but one thing that I would want to tell you is that you can use the mtev X driver with Qt 4.7. This driver will help you in getting the clicks for the multitouch hardware that you want to install the Meego on it. You can easily find this driver in the MeeGo repository as a package called xorg-x11-drv-mtev or from gitorious which ever way you choose. I hope that you will get the solve some of your problem with this driver.

Hello friends I have a tablet pc with a 2 point multitouch screen that I had purchased few weeks ago. Now what I am currently looking for is that does this have a multi touch support, as I am looking for compiling the touchscreen driver on the Meego 1.1. I have tested this driver with the ubuntu 10.10 and I have found that this works smoothly on it with no glitches at all. So what I would really want to know is that will this multitouch screen support the Meego operating system as I would really like to install it.

I have tried loading the same on my lenevo and I did not got any problem with it, I am even having this mutitouch hardware on my Lenovo and I really didn’t get any kind of problem as such with the Meego installation. So all I would suggest is thatdont worry and go for the installation without any worry as it will surely help you in completely installing the Meego. And also the driver that you have integrated from the repository even goes smoothly with all the multi touch hardware that you want to get the Meego installed.
