Isn't there any good broadband connections in India

I am a student from the field of Film and animation, so I need to download a lot of stuff through the internet. On top of it I even have to consider both the cost and speed of the plan. I have tried almost all the Broadband connections and i am not at all satisfied because I don’t find them feasible. Even if there are companies providing good downloading speed they have an issue of technicalities that is they can lay wires only in selected areas. I am unhappy because I cant find a broadband connection upto my expectations.

I have an Airtel broadband connection which is working just fine. I do get your point, In India people demand for cheap plans and they even expect a good downloading speed. As far as as I know there are no cheap Broadband connections in India. It is like the Cost of the internet plan is directly proportional to its downloading speed. Cant help it brother, I guess India has to wait until a good company comes up with better and cheap Broadband plans.

Hi I am an employee from the Information Technology firm. I have got a connection of 256 kbps. This is all I can afford as in now. I was curious about some exciting Broadband connections , so I asked one of my friend he told me that there are plans which will offer you good downloading speed but they are not at all cheap. You can get big bill amounts for these connections because if you have a good download speed then in some cases those plans are limited plans, after which they charge you on every mega bit. This is something that I think the government should work on.

Your right my friend almost all the internet broadband connections suck. If we ask the cable operator in our area to provide us with a good broadband connection they say they atleast need five to ten customers so that they can pull a line in their area. They cant setup a network for one customer or they’ll be in loss. I am a business man so I need to travel a lot, there in other European countries they provide a download speed of 3 to 4 Mbps. In India they do provide a good speed but the cost of those plans are unthinkable. After a particular chunk of download you are supposed to pay for every Mega bits which is the worst part.
