Problem with ASUS laptop - Weird red dots?
I bought this laptop approx ~ 1 year ago. I've noticed that sometimes, especially when running graphic - intense applications, there are these weird red dots that hop all over the place, usually in the darker tones (black predominately). This mostly happens when playing World of warcraft, or some other newer games, or when watching movies.
I dont think its any issue with the graphics card though, because when I plug an additional monitor into the laptop, it doesn't happen on that monitor, but happens on the laptop screen..
Model: ASUS Notebook K61IC/K70IC Series
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU 2.20 GHz, 4 gb memory, win 7 x64
GFX card is nvidia geforce gt 22m 1gb dedicated.
I'll try and get a pic of it up asap.
Re: Problem with ASUS laptop - Weird red dots?
Since you are using it from last one year or so, I wonder if you have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest graphics driver on your netbook yet? Also, it might be possbile that the backlight of the netbook might be not functioning properly, which normally occurs on laptop, after a specific period of time. As, the netbook is only 1 year old, and if no physical damage is done then you can ask for a repair to the Asus service center for free in this case.
