WMP12 not allowing for the updating of the Music library

I have been making the use of the Windows Media Player 12 for long and all the files of the music have been used by me for the playing of the mp3 files and also all the songs have been played by me in the Windows Media Player so that it can use for the music files and also for the other files to. When I just open the files of the navigation and managing of the files I am to able to manage the files and also the changes are not being accepted by it. Please help me out with the issues that is being faced by me and how can I just manage the files that is present in the Windows Media Player 12.
