Invalid Procedure or Argument error
I am running XP. Of all the games on my computer only one still persists in not working. It's a relatively new text-based golf game.
After installing the game, trying to run the executable gives me "Runtime error 5: Invalid procedure or argument".
The game does run on my other computer, but not on the one I use primarily. I've never received such an error before. I've tried a dozen things, but still no luck.
I realize the error is pretty general. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix it?
(BTW, unfortunately, the makers of this game have seemed to simply ignore my problem, so no help there. After trying so many things and having nothing work, I'm beginning to think it's a software-coding error. But then no one else is getting this particular error.)
Thanks,
Alan
Re: Invalid Procedure or Argument error
Have you tried reinstalling Visual Basic runtime files which is producing this error.
You can download it for windows xp from here - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...displaylang=en
I have also checked some of the files and found you may need the .Net framework package. Try this first.

Re: Invalid Procedure or Argument error
Any other suggestions on this "invalid procedure call or argument" error?
As I said above, the first (and only) suggestion didn't work.
Thanks,
