Now I am using exchange server 2003 but direct access is not working with outlook 2010. If anyone having idea how to connect proper setting for the outlook 2010 with the exchange server 2003 so suggest me. If there any additional software or hardware is required then please tell me.

I have some proper settings for the outlook 2010 by using you can connect to the exchange server 2003:First click on start then go in to run and enter there regedit in the empty box and press enter on keyboard. Now put following key,
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\RPC
Point to new in the edit menu then click on DWORD Value.Insert DefConnectOpts in that value and click enter. Now click right button of mouse on DefConnectOpts and again click on modify.Insert value 0 in the box of value data and enter. Now come out from the Registry Editor. And check your server connection.

In case you are forgot to modify your host file after update of outlook for connecting server 2003.then this problem can occur. Actual connection is ok but when you try to open outlook then you will get problem with host file. It will ask you to some list that is .The remote dns server, the exchange server and the local dns server. For host file you search in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc. You need to alter above information as per your server requirement. Then you can check your connection.

I think problem occurs because you have upgrade your old outlook with outlook 2010 , if you have installed fresh copy then might you doesn’t face any problem for the server connection. For this you can delete your old profile in outlook by using some steps that are: Go in to the control panel, click on mail icon, click on the show profile and click on the remove profile icon. It will remove your old profile and for adding new profile click on add profile icon and ad your new profile in it and click on ok. Also make sure that your server address is proper in the outlook.
