I need suggestion for buying Motherboard for i7-950
I am looking to buy for a strong motherboard for this chip, somewhat with honest over clocking capability. After a long search I think that I should go with the ASUS? What you think about buying the ASUS motherboard it's good to have it or not. Please help me I need your suggestion. Or you have any better idea regarding any other Motherboard. I have to install Windows 7 64 bit professional edition, I have 4GB DDR2 RAM with Gigabyte HD of 500GB.

About the gigabyte Motherboard it is hard to over clock, truthfully I had a p6x58d-premium, and I have been an ASUS user from the time I started using computers 12 years before, and to be frank I never liked gigabyte. But that all altered with core i7, I finished up returning my ASUS, and buying an x58a-UD5, it's a top mark board. It has superior construct class as compared to ASUS; you can observe it and experience it, superior BIOS. So I will advise you to go with Gigabyte motherboard it have better service centers available everywhere.

I had brought Sabertooth motherboard for my i950 CPU. As long as memory used, the more memory you plan to use, and the more speed limitations you will meet with. And if you will make to run the greatest speeds probable for gaming or to put hardcore records you may possibly be inadequate to 4GB. But if you want 8, 10, 12GB, or more to hold up function such as AutoCAD, image processing or MAYA 3D, you may come across that the memory speed you have is limited to 1066 or maybe 1333 greatest no issue whatever higher the chips are plant rated.

I have been paining to upgrade to i7 form the last months and now finally took the same CPU and for the motherboard I have also discussed whether to go in the company of an i7 LGA 1156 or i7 LGA 1366. And then I decide the LGA 1366 since I think you can acquire superior performance and the price than the LGA 1156 CPUs. What your opinion on this?
