Macbook Pro vs HP Envy 14
I am looking forward to buy a laptop. You may think that it is not the big issue to select the system of your choice. But I am suffering from this kind of problem. Now I am stuck between the 2 models which are very hard to compare. Those models are 13" Macbook Pro and Hp Envy 14. It is not about the issue of the price. I don’t know much about the battery backup of envy. I don’t bother about the OS. Please anybody get me out this confuse. I will barely take any advice given by you. I won’t argue with your suggestions. Please provide me a good feedback.

Re: Macbook Pro vs HP Envy 14
If you are going for a Mac you will get the good reliability, build quality, battery life, technical support and of course the customer service. But when you see the HP laptop it will make you lean towards its direction due to the availability of vast amount of specifications. The HP lacks in technical support. The Mac’s battery life is pretty good. The MBP is not good for running windows because the system doesn’t implement the ACPI appropriately. If you try to run Windows on Mac the battery life will be a nightmare and has lot old misc. Some of the Good features of MBP is also don’t work on Windows.
Re: Macbook Pro vs HP Envy 14
The new 13" MBP’s doesn’t get 10 hours with wireless on/screen up and with a normal usage like Wifi off, Bluetooth off, screen brightness turned down, etc you can get more like 6-8 hours backup power. If you have power saving option on your OS then only it can push towards the limit but you won’t get all of it. Whereas the Envy is a faster machine. You can thrust the battery life out t close to what a MBP can get, but at the cost of heavy because of the slices. The 13.3 MBP is still pretty quick, but not fast. Its main focus is on battery life/mobility. Both are weighs same but you get extra battery life in MBP
Re: Macbook Pro vs HP Envy 14
There are different qualities to match both the laptops. It will not be much tough as you think. You can get the remarkable touchpad/build quality in a MBP. While the Envy's build quality is also pretty good but it is not as solid as a MBP and also about the touchpad. The MBP’s 4.1 x 3-inch touchpad is not only superior than the Envy 14’s (4.25 x 2.5), but is much easier to make use of. But in Envy you can add extra battery life like adding slices. This feature is not available in MBP. Adding extra qualities will cost you pretty heavy. The Envy 14’s footprint is 14 x 9.3 inches to the MacBook Pro’s 12.8 x 8.9 inches. In terms of absolute size and pixel count, the Envy 14 carries the day. Its screen has a resolution of 1600 x 900, which is much superior than the MacBook Pro’s 1280 x 800-pixel resolution screen
Re: Macbook Pro vs HP Envy 14
The MacBook Pro’s performance scores have been tested while the system was running Windows 7 in Boot Camp mode. The PCMarkVantage shows several results. The Envy 14 scored 6,129 and the MBP is 4,164 a noticeable delta. When trans-coding a 120MB MPEG4 file to AVI the Envy took only 54 seconds which is 20 seconds quicker than the MacBook Pro. However, the efficiencies of the Mac’s OS X allowed its slower HDD to complete the transfer test in 2 minutes and 54 seconds which is nearly as fast Envy because it took only 2 minutes and 51 seconds.
