E182e external antenna lacks connection speed
I have no issues about the speed of E182e connection. But some time it lacks with signal due to rain or bad weather. In such situation I couldn’t get the right speed which I want. For this purpose I brought the antenna. Even though with use of antenna there is no increment is signal as well as the speed. I did the several testing using that antenna but I couldn’t find the right result. So I Am thinking that it is happening either of the faulty antenna or because of the E182e. Is there any problem with using the external antenna?
Re: E182e external antenna lacks connection speed
Where did you buy this antenna? Is it made by the Huawei? The actual thing is that the third party antenna should not be used with E182E. Another thing is the external antenna is not being used. Do some test by putting a metal over the E182e. This metal will block the signal. Now test the connection speed. Now connect the external antenna to E182e and again test the speed. If you see any variation in speed then assume that the antenna is working fine. Otherwise remove the metal and use it as without any antenna.
Re: E182e external antenna lacks connection speed
E182e comes with a connector for it we can connect External Antenna. But the problem is it is disconnected from inside modem’s Scheme. I tried to search the Google about this issue and I found that the antenna plug or connector is only for diversity. It is not made for the primary or external antenna. So some experts say that it is not the good idea to connect the antenna to E182e modem because it already has the recommended internet speed.
Re: E182e external antenna lacks connection speed
Before buying the External antenna you should have checked what kind of connector is on the E182e modem. You will need the right adapter to match the antenna connector. Is the connector is compatible with other devices by Huawei. If you use different kind of antenna for different connector how could you acquire the speed? Is it possible? I don’t think so. If your connector matches perfectly then it is probably the network issue which can’t be solved by yourself. You need to contact the service provider in your location.
