Re: How to install iTunes using WINE
Installing iTunes is similar as installing music programs of Linux. For installing iTunes you have to download it to your machine and then right click on the iTunes.exe file a list of option will appear and then choose the option open with and then click on WINE. Then it will run the installation with WINE, After clicking on it installation process of iTunes will start and then you can use it.
Re: How to install iTunes using WINE
After downloading the latest iTunes install the WINE by running this command sudo apt-get install wine and then you have to configure WINE using winecfg command and then you have to setup sound card with the audio card. Then run this command ./iTunes743Setup.exe which is in your directory of the downloaded installer. If you are having any other query then reply me.
Re: How to install iTunes using WINE
For installing iTunes, the first step is to install wine of your machine. And for that go to the Applications and click on the Add or remove option and look for Wine Windows Emulator, put the check mark and select OK. Download iTunes and then for installing it you have to change the location of itunessetup.exe file from the terminal and to run this file by typing this command.
- cd /home/username/Desktop
- wine itunessetup.exe
This will install iTunes and to run the iTunes give this command.
- wine /home/username/drive_c/Program\ Files/iTunes/iTunes.exe
You will receive a warning regarding the registry settings used by iTunes. Then select OK to start iTunes.
Re: How to install iTunes using WINE
I think you should get crossover office to for the iTunes instead of WINE. I have experience that iTunes is not play well with Wine compare to Crossover office. I have been used Crossover office for iTunes and believe me, it is performing well. I will recommend you to get crossover office for the iTunes. If you are having any other query then reply me.
