Re: Partitioning an External Hard Drive on my Macbook
You want to create a new partition in your Western Digital 1 TB External Hard Drive so first you have to delete your old partition and after that you can create a new partition in your Western Digital 1 TB External Hard Drive. So first delete all partition one by one. After deleting all the partition you get single 1 TB partition with your Western Digital 1 TB External Hard Drive. Now you can create a new partition as per your requirement.
Re: Partitioning an External Hard Drive on my Macbook
You want create new partition with your Western Digital 1 TB External Hard Drive and you want to install window operating system in your one of the new partition. If you use FAT32 file system for a partition then you can install Windows 95 OSR2, Windows 98, and Windows operating system but volume limit for FAT32 file system is not larger than 32 GB. If you need to create a volume larger than 32 GB, use the NTFS file system instead. NTFS file system designed for Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2008, 2003, 2000, NT.
Re: Partitioning an External Hard Drive on my Macbook
You want to install window based operating system in your new partition so file system format of your partition should be either FAT32 or NTFS. But you have a Digital 1 TB External Hard Drive so i think you have to use NTFS file system. Because you have 1 TB External Hard Disk Drive and you go for FAT32 file system then you have to create maximum 32 GB partition and not more then that. So you format your 1 TB External Hard Drive and create a partition in a NTFS file system.
