Data recovery from a formatted Mac disk

I have recently purchased a new Macbook pro 2010 form a nearby dealer, the performance of the Macbook is quite good as compared to the previous versions. There was a number of the problem occurred in the mac hard disk and a number of the error message where thrown so i decided to format the hard disk and after the format realized that there are a number of the data that needs to be recovered from the hard disk.So, please provide me with some solution on the given issue any suggestion on the topic will be appreciated to resolve the problem of the macbook hard disk.

The steps provided by you above does not worked for me at all for me as after the format i tried to save the image on the hard disk and then tried to run a disk image analyzer but i think it was not done in a proper manner which has caused the failure of the process.
