Issue on VPN client for windows 7
Hello
I have a HP computer with the windows 7 as the operating system. Running the VPN network connection in the computer, which works well. But there is a connectivity problem in the VPN , the client server is not responding, though I am using the BETA version of my operating system. I tried to upgrade that one, but can’t update it. What type problem is this, any idea? Is there anyone who is having any solution for that problem?
Re: Issue on VPN client for windows 7
Try this on, there is a step by step process to install the VPN client connection only for the windows 7 operating system. This will work in the multiple hardware platforms.
1. First you install the Cisco DNE update.
2. Reboot your machine after installation.
3. Remove the file “ndis.sys” (path will be- c:\windows\system32\drivers).
4. Also remove “ndis.sys.mui” (path is-- c:\windows\system32\drivers\en-us).
5. Then install Cisco VPN Client 5.0.04.0300.
6. Again reboot the machine.
7. Windows 7 will repair itself , after that it will restart itself.
Re: Issue on VPN client for windows 7
I had the similar issue regarding the VPN client connectivity (Cisco VPN Client 5.0.4.0300). I make complete fresh re installation of the operating system and frequently getting the BSOD in the first tine of the start up and it caused for the NDIS.SYS. After that I installed the Citrix DNE update (Google). And according to the process that is mentioned in the thread I just fix the issue. This is really works. Remember after installing the client make all the setting as default. And also connect the client as the usual.
Re: Issue on VPN client for windows 7
I would like to know that have you tried to run the program via "run as administrator", or the Windows 7 compatibility mode. I know that the Windows 7 BETA version is not runs through the patch or the crack. In the other words this will not works with the RTM technology, because the Windows 7 is a feature complete operating system, where as also not in the service pack 1 of the operating system.
