Re: Ralink RT61 crashes PC
You have mentioned that you have 4GB of RAM. 4GB RAM can be the reason for some Ralink to crash.Or your driver is not working properly. Go to device manager and check the lan card is ok or not. If your drivers icon shows in yellow color with question mark means your wireless driver is not working properly. Uninstall your driver and again install driver.
Re: Ralink RT61 crashes PC
It may be drivers problem. Drivers is not supporting to your OS. Check whether your Ralink RT61 drivers support 32 or 64 bit OS. Update your drivers.
If still it is not working remove reduce your RAM and again try to connect.
Re: Ralink RT61 crashes PC
Ralink RT61 driver run properly with 3GB RAM or less than 3GB. Even if it is a 64-bit driver, but it apparently has problems when your computer have 4GB or more then 4GB of RAM.
If you take out the extra RAM your pc will no longer crashes. If still you are having the same problem then change your wireless card.
Re: Ralink RT61 crashes PC
I was having the same problem of crashing the pc. I've reinstall my windows and wireless driver. My problem was resolved. Try to uninstall the driver from device manager and again install it. For that just right click on my computer and select manage.
Then choose device manager option from manage. This may help you.
Re: Ralink RT61 crashes PC
This problem is because of your 4GB of RAM. Because some Ralink RT61 wireless card's driver does not support by 4GB RAM. Reduce your RAM capacity to 3 or less than 3 this will help you. If you still facing the problem then uninstall your wireless card driver, then remove wireless card from your system then again fix it. After fixing it install the driver.
