Factory Recovery Media - Satellite P305D-S8828
I have this older model Satellite that I bought some years before . It has been tweaking out on me - which every system that I have ever had does at somewhere and I planned to reformat this . I am running with the 'Recovery Media' which is provided with the system. However, when I mash on F12 and entered into that screen then it comes up with some of different options For example - Restore to factory software ... something, something or Erase hard disk.
If I format the hard disc, can I still perform the restoration of the same to the factory configurations ? This is the first time when I have completed to do this, so forgive my ignorance here.
Re: Factory Recovery Media - Satellite P305D-S8828
For system working upon Microsoft Windows Vista, the Disk Management utility in the Computer Management utility displays an additional partition entitled with the "1.46GB Healthy (EISA Configuration)". This partition is consumed for the system recovery tools , most of which are section of the Windows Recovery Environment. It does not involve the image file that would be used to restore the system's software image to the actual factory image (as when the system was originally bought).

Fine , I have ended up formatting the hard disk. Currently, I have not installed any operating system yet . I wonder if now I am able to just get a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium and install that on my computer system ? I am just considering that the configuration on such type of model will accommodate the new one operating system ? Any feedback on the same would be appreciated ?
I can not seem to find any operating system which is provided with the computer system originally. I am sure that they shipped the operating system as the another section of the deal.

I have purchased this system in 2008. The discs states that 'Toshiba Recovery Media Satellite P3000 Series Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit SP 1' on the same . I gone through the user guide just regarding the 'recovery' operation . All it stated is that 'yes', you are able to erase the hard disk as one of the options, but it does not suggest anything else regarding this. For example - how to perform the reinstallation of operating system , if you are able to reinstall the OS, etc.
