I have a problem with my Gmail account, it is not showing the proper time in the account. The email received and send from the account has a old date and time but my Computer time is correct. The account shows time and date of the last month of the last year. How to overcome this problem please reply me with the solution, any suggestion will be appreciated.
These issue can be solved by downloading a Patch that will change and correct the time and the date automatically. If you are using a Gmail account then you can download the Patch from the Google website and if you are a hotmail user then you can download these from the Microsoft's "Windows update" website, it is recommended by Microsoft that you do that at least once every week.
If your email message does not show the correct date and time that means your system clock is not working properly.There may be an issue with the time zone listed in your Google Account settings, to fix this issue please folow the following steps:
- Go to google/accounts/ManageAccount page of the google website
- Find the personal Settings and select Edit next to the "Email Addresses" section
- To select time zone, choose the time zone that matches your location
- Select save
- Sign out of Gmail and Sign in again
Your time in the email account is similar to your system time.
Your problem can be solved through the Gmail account also, just go to the "settings" then select the account tab. On the bottom of the page click Google accounts settings in the change accounts settings section. Then select the Time zone and update the email time and date according to the area of your choice, your issue of date and time will be resolved.
There may be a issue in the date and time in your own system, first verify the date and time in your system by double clicking the task bar to open date and time Properties menu. From the Date & Time tab, verify that the appropriate month, day, and year are selected; then select apply to save the chances. From the time zone tab, verify that your time zone is selected or not. If the time zone in which you are located is not displayed, select your time zone from the drop-down menu; Verify that the box beside Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings changes is checked and then click OK. Then make the chances in the Gmail account settings, your issue will be resolved.
There are two possibilities, the first is that there may be a problem in the Time Zone of the system and other is there may be a problem in the Account setting Tab in the your email account which doesn't provide the proper date and time to send the email. These can be resolved by making the chances in the Time zone of your system in the Date icon provided at the bottom of the Task bar. If Time is not proper in the email message then go to the email account and make the chances to solve your problem.
The problem of date and time is very common in the Gmail, Yahoo and hotmail accounts. To make the date and time proper according to the system date and time just download the patches that are provided from the owner’s of the these services such as Microsoft for the hotmail and Google for Gmail. So, just search the patch, download it and update regularly at least once in a week and your issued will be solved.
