My Windows Vista can't delete stuff

Any time I delete something, it deletes at 0kb per second, which really means its not doing anything.
If i cancel, it cancels at 0kb per second.
Please help.

True. But I can't even delete stuff like Word documents or images or anything like that for that matter. How does one access this program?

You mean that you cannot delete or cannot uninstall Word documents or images, if that is so then you may not be logged in as an administrator.
