ITE elementary school teacher needs help
Hello, I am a new computer teacher. The principal expects me to solve problems. The latest is loss of internet over the summer. I rebooted the CPU and server, no luck. The computers are new with windows 7 but the software on the CPU is windows 2000. My thought is to update to windows XP and replace CPU . We are a poor inner city school with no funds for outside help. I would be happy to be able to learn some basic troubleshooting. Thanks for any advice you can give me.
P.S. The person who sold us the computers (30 Dells) is impossible to reach. He did not include any software just a basic computer.

What do you mean by this? You have new computer with Windows 7 but CPU is having Windows 2000? Which computer are you talking about?
However, loss of internet can be due to lot of reasons. It may be due to your computers are infected from some virus or malware or might be your network is being shared without your knowledge. It may also be due to faulty cables (like broken).
