hotmail basic function (sending e-mail) won't work on Mac OS X 10.3.9
I really ned your support guys for this, I am using Mac OS X 10.3.9 with Mozilla Firefox browser, but the problem is that the browser cannot handle the basic function of Hotmail of sending emails. I am unable to to even upgrade the browser and I have tried to reinstall the browser but that is not helping me that much. I can receive emails on my Hotmail account and able to read it but, can't send the email as I already mentioned before. Help me out guys this is crazy.

Let me first of all inform you that Hotmail is upgrading itself which also includes even its interface and that is because of which it is not capable of supporting the Mozilla Firefox version 20.0.0.20, but you can write emails that is one point for you. You need an upgraded version of Mac OS X 10.4 or above in order to upgrade the Firefox (or Google Chrome or the other bowsers) to fulfill your needs.

If you are really want to send emails through your Hotmail account and you really mean it then you can give a try to "apple mail" and in the preference you can add an account. Logon using SPA(Secure Password Authentication) for hotmail Incoming Mail Server i.e. POP3 and hotmail Outgoing Mail Server i.e. SMTP. What you have to do is in preference account you have to tick on Use SSL in order to make the mail work. As far as any emails are send the will be in the "mail sent" folder of apple but not in the hotmail's "mail sent" folder. this can be achieved by using the "BCC". The address can be BCCed to the Hotmail account which still works in the older version of the Mozilla Firefox.

There's another solution with respect to desilva. Instead of using upgraded version of MAC OS i.e. MAC OS X 10.4, I would suggest you to uninstall the Mozilla Firefox and install the Mozilla Firefox 3 which functions with Mac OS X 10.3.9. I hope that this may really solve your problem and you will be able to send and receive the emails from/in your hotmail account. If you still insist with using the Firefox 2 then you can go with the advice that is given by desilva.Once you success let me know.
Re: hotmail basic function (sending e-mail) won't work on Mac OS X 10.3.9
No, I would like to tell all of you here that Mozilla Firefox is not going to take chance of making any any Firefox 3 versions that would be compatible with the Mac OS X 10.3.9 and the earlier versions of it. It is because Mozilla Firefox wanted to take the advantage of the graphics in newer Operating Systems and the older Operating Systems just do not possess that feature, hence an upgradation of the Mac OS X 10.3.9 to Mac OS X 10.4 is what I would suggest.
Re: hotmail basic function (sending e-mail) won't work on Mac OS X 10.3.9
I totally agree with what Elbanco said.I would also like to put more weightage to what he said. Yes it is true that Mozilla wanted to the advantage of the graphical features and this feature is of course not in the older Operating Systems. This problem is not just with the Mac OS X and its older versions but its the same for any other Operating System. Even the older versions of the Windows Operating System such as 98 or SE or ME can not run the firefox version 3 and above. So I would also suggest that you should go for Mac OS X 10.4.
