Windows 7 autologon bypass key problems
In the previous operating system we are running the auto logons with the student in the school and also using the bypass key for the teachers or the Administrators, but the thing is that for windows 7 I am not able to find the bypass key. In the previous operating system that is Windows 2000 or windows xp I was using the shift key at the time of boot up for that purpose and in Windows vista I think that was the different one, I am not sure about that because I was not using that. The problem is that in window 7 none of the key is working, can anyone help me for solving the problem that I am facing.
Re: Windows 7 autologon bypass key problems
As far as I know the ability of bypassing the startup items is removed from windows 7 and it was also not present in windows vista. I have done few test for getting thing right and in those test I have discovered that Windows 7 ignores the shift key at the time of startup and not only that it is also ignoring registry entries:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
DWORD: "IgnoreShiftOverride"="0"
I am sorry say this bur unfortunately you are out of luck for this feature bur if you want to get that feature then you can get any third party tool for that purpose.
Re: Windows 7 autologon bypass key problems
You can try this solution for the things that you want to achieve. Navigate to run and then write “control userpasswords2” and after that select the user for that and also write the password for which you need autologon and then press ok. Now for the next logon Windows 7 will make the autologon that is in the user. I hope this will help you, if you have any other problem then let me know about that, I will try to solve it as soon as possible.
Re: Windows 7 autologon bypass key problems
It is bad to know that the shift key is not overriding the autologon, hence it is either enabling or disabling, and this step that is taken in Windows 7 is not good. But if you really need that functionality in windows 7 then you can use sysinternal autologin tool that can be used for this purpose. In short you get the missing functionality in windows 7 without racking your brain.
Re: Windows 7 autologon bypass key problems
I totally agree with the above reply, it is true that autologon enable the user to easily configure the windows that is designed in the autologon mechanism. Inplace of waiting for the user to enter the name and password, windows is using the credentials you are entering with the help of Autologon, that are encrypted in the registry, for loggin in the specified user automatically.
Re: Windows 7 autologon bypass key problems
In fact it is just a simple click at start of F8 temp and you put in safe mode then you go ds control panel, administrative tools, management computer, a window appears on the left local user and group Then clicked your user account selected by right clicking which you saw to remove the password set the password and you click on a window continue with the password you want to write does not score and click OK restart your computer and click on the account I swear it works and you will get to go back on your computer system.
