Unable to remove the run as administrator option from a program icon
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium in my laptop. I had selected by right click on program and then selected run as administrator. There is a shield icon on the program which is now not willing to go. I had tried the right click settings but nothing works here. My system is also working very slow and and due to that I am not to work properly. What can I do here to fix this and speed up my system.
Re: Unable to remove the run as administrator option from a program icon
If that is not changing then you will need to delete the icon and restore a new one. For that right click on the tool and then choose properties. In that select change icon and then choose the icon you want to put. You can also run system restore for that and check back. You can download any custom icon pack for that change the same. It is possible that the icon is corrupted.
Re: Unable to remove the run as administrator option from a program icon
Windows 7 is certainly a very fast and secure operating system but sometime the same works quiet slowy. You can optimize the best to make it even faster. The first thing is windows resgistry which gets corrupted. So better run a registry cleaner tool for fixing the corrupt keys in that. You must also backup your registry at regular interval so that you can restore in case of crash.
Re: Unable to remove the run as administrator option from a program icon
The icon can be changed. Delete that and add a new shortcut from the start menu. The visual effects of Windows 7 operating system very slow. It is therefore recommended to increase speed, turn off unnecessary ones. Of course this takes the graphics a bit a good look but to disable them click the Computer icon then go to Properties > Advanced > Settings and choose best performance.
Re: Unable to remove the run as administrator option from a program icon
There are some possibilities to fix this out. For that one my computer and then click on Folder then look for Search option. In that then click on view and from here you must display file size information in folder tips. Then also disable hide extensions for known file types. Once done with that look for show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color and show pop-up description for folder and desktop items. Disable this both time and reboot.
Re: Unable to remove the run as administrator option from a program icon
Windows works slow usually on startup services. There are lots of unnecessary services there. There are some services that may not be used when Windows starts. To do this click the My Computer icon and then > Manage Computer > Services & Applications > Services. From here you can choose which services to manual. Stop all not needed services like updates, printer service, etc.

The colors displayed on the monitor of a PC depends not only on the monitor itself, but also the video card driver settings, brightness, contrast and other factors, but users still continue to use the color profile Windows Classic. Seven allows for optimum display calibration using the Display Color Calibration Wizard, which lets you select brightness, contrast and color settings and optimize the display of characters using ClearType. This also consume resources and sometime makes your system slow.
