- Whether in the Start menu on your desktop or in Explorer, click the right mouse button on the shortcut in the Start menu pin.

- The new menu is placed under the Messaging and Internet shortcuts.
- You can easily change the order of these shortcuts by simply dragging and dropping.
- As for the list of popular software, you can remove a shortcut from this list by clicking the right mouse button and select Delete from the list.
Change Internet Shortcut Links:
By default, the Internet shortcut on the Start menu point to Internet Explorer and the shortcut to Outlook Express Mail. If you use other software to surf the Internet or manage your mail, shortcuts have probably not been updated.
- Click the right mouse button on a blank area of the taskbar and choose the Properties command.
- Open the Start Menu tab, then click the Customize button.
- In the Show box in the Start menu, choose Internet link for the software used to surf the Internet.
- Do the same for the Link Email.

Customizing system files:
The first part of the Start menu gives you access to certain system folders: My Documents, My Pictures, My Music, My computer ... You can easily customize this list.
- Click the right mouse button on a blank area of the taskbar and choose the Properties command.
- Open the Start Menu tab, then click the Customize button.
- With Windows XP, open the Advanced tab.
- In the Start Menu Items list, select the check boxes to add items and uncheck the boxes to the elements of the system to remove.

- First download Tidy Start Menu
- Once the download is complete, run the file.
- The software installation wizard opens. Click the Next button.
- Click the Agree button.
- Click the Install button.
- Then click the Close button.
- Tidy Start Menu is then executed. If this is not the case, run it by double click its shortcut on the desktop.
- In the window that opens, click the Wizard button elimination shortcuts empty.
- In the window that opens, click the Search button.
- The shortcuts are displayed found empty. Check box to remove the shortcuts.
