Just before 4 days i have replaced my CRT monitor with the Viewsonic VX2255wmb 22" LCD monitor. When i play games on this monitor then images appears to be jagged and this is the case with all the resolutions. I am using MSI GeForce 8800GTS on this machine and monitor has been connected by using DVI-D cable. Can anybody tell me what could be the problem here?
I think the problem which you are facing on your system with the GeForce 8800GTS GPU wont be having the proper driver due to which you are not getting the proper image when you play games. I suggest you to go to an official website of MSI from where you can download the drivers for your operating system.
I think the problem would be with the Refresh Rate as i have seen that this problem on my windows 7 system. Anyway first of check that the refresh rate has been stuck or not. If so then i think even you have selected the wrong refresh rate, Actually 60Hz with the resolution of 1680X1050 resolution have became quite low have considered to be the low so you must select 75Hz through in game. I have solved my problem with the same solution.
I think you need to get the good drivers for your system and i would be better to have windows operating system on which you have connected this GPU. Please make sue that you have installed the drivers according to the version of your Windows operating system as if your OS is 64 bit Windows Vista then you must install 64 bit vista drivers.
