Re: Bootmgr missing (Different from desktop)
Isn't there any friend of yours or someone whom do you know who can provide you with the CD temporarily? And also if possible find a USB cd/dvd drive from where you can run the cd/dvd. Because there is no option other than with the CD/DVD to fix this bootmgr issue. I would not suggest you to download it from net because it is untrusted source and could infect your computer.
Re: Bootmgr missing (Different from desktop)
I know friends who have the CD, but I still dont understand, should I run the CD from my desktop, then insert the usb and copy all of the files into the usb? Also I don't know of any friends that use windows 7 starter, or does it not matter??
Re: Bootmgr missing (Different from desktop)
Netbook does have a DVD drive so the best thing is to use a usb drive there. If you go on the official site of Windows the upgrade advisor there will guide for which operating system you need. Then you can directly download Windows and create a bootable usb. It is quiet easy. Just visit this site once and create a bootable usb drive.
