Handycam DVD Vs HDD
Among a DVD Handycam and HDD Handycam which is much much better. My friend want to buy a new one and he is confused between the DVD and HDD one. My suggestion is to go for HDD Handycam but the same is very costly. The best thing about a HDD Handycam is the space they provide for storing the images. So what you recommend for the same.

Re: Handycam DVD Vs HDD
Yes HDD is costly but if you are getting 100GB's of storage space then it is simply worth buying. You must go for a HDD camcorder as it is quiet preferable than DVD. DVD is a temporary solution for the same while in a HDD camcorder you just need to put photos and then copy the entire disc on your hard drive. Go for any 8GB HDD drive. There are some camcorders which supports both.

Re: Handycam DVD Vs HDD
Hitachi's DZ-HS301E combines two recording modes for you. The first is on DVD and the other one is on hard drive. These two modes are complementary, you can use the hard disk to record video, make edits from the camcorder and then burn to 8cm DVD discs to be played on a DVD player. The hard disk of the DZ-HS301E 8GB is where you can store between 110 and 360 minutes of video depending on the desired quality, it supports double-sided DVD (not dual layer) to a maximum recording 120 minutes.

Re: Handycam DVD Vs HDD
That is great where you get both the supports and you can choose the storage media as per your need. The Hitachi provides a 1.3 megapixel CCD sensor, optical zoom reaches 15x and its LCD screen has a diagonal 6.7 cm, image stabilization (digital) is present to prevent blurred images. I am going to buy this camcorder and a additional storage media for the same. A SD Card is a nice option.

Re: Handycam DVD Vs HDD
The HDD camcorders are quiet less expensive now. The advantage of this that there is no need to use clutter of tapes or DVDs, these cameras offer a storage space for the JVC 20GB and 30GB for Sony, what to record about twenty hours of video. The videos are saved directly to MPEG-2 in the drive and simply connect the camcorder to a computer via USB to transfer sequences. The disadvantage of hard disk is that it is sensitive to shock.

Re: Handycam DVD Vs HDD
While buying a camear One of the main points you must consider is that the camera must be equipped with a 2 MPixel CCD sensor support. The JVC Everio offers a detailed shooting to slow development. For its part, Sony offers a 3 MPixel CCD which is a must and same is enough Powerful. It can shoot in all circumstances. Another advantage of Sony is an immediate clarification whatever the subject distance shot, with excellent results in macro.

Re: Handycam DVD Vs HDD
Every digital camera offers you an LCD screen that can be used in addition to an optical viewfinder. Filming with an LCD screen offers several advantages like ease of shooting with the swivel screen so you must look for the screen size before getting that. You can add up 30GB of extra space on your camcorder and use the same for continuous shooting. Sony DCR-SR90 is one of the favorable model.
