I installed Kaspersky Administration Kit 8.0.2048 on a Windows 2003 member server and I allowed a Windows 7 to make a test environment. the problem is at "Downloading updates in the repository" which is interrupted every time! here below the message that appears "Completed with error Degree of importance: Error " Description: Error checking the signature file.. Please help anyone any ideas.
I would advice you the following troubleshooting tips
1)If the update is based on Kaspersky Lab servers, restart it. If the error persists, send the trace file of the component to update the Service for technical assistance to clarify the issue.
2) If you perform the update from a custom source, copy the correct bases in the same location.
Do you use a proxy to connect to the Internet. if yes, then you must configure the task to update properly, and especially to the Administration Server to exclude the latter in order that it can download all file types. If you have no proxy, purge the contents of C: \ Program Files \ ... \ Kaspersky Administration Kit \ Share \ Updates \ then restart the update.
First of all i would like to thanks you for replying me , Indeed I have an ISA server 2006 as firewall and proxy server-level administrator I have completed all the proxy information to connect and even I gave an account admin area. What should I do more. Also please tell me whether i am missing something.
These updates have different extensions (formed randomly) and download updates with such extensions may be blocked on a proxy server. In this case it is recommended to allow downloading for all file types from Kaspersky Lab servers only. The list of these servers is available in the file Program Files \ Kaspersky Lab \ Kaspersky Administration Kit \ Share \ Updates \ index \ updcfg.xml.
sometimes the update problem arise because your network might not have been working properly and hence i would suggest you to check your internet connections properly. This is one of the most common problem while you try to update the kaspersky internet security admin kit. Hope that this will help you to resolve the problem.
