After that I have launched combofix and then computer freeze and the only message that can be seen is “ComboFix will now start scanning your computer for known infections. This procedure can take some time, so please be patient." It is taking too much time hence I rebooted the system after that I am getting BSOD 7B in any mode I choose to start the system. I want know why I am getting BSOD 7B after Combofix freeze.
Re: BSOD 7B after Combofix freeze
My laptop was infected by a kind of malware or torjan last night probably through my login to hotmail. To get rid of it, I run combofix and I left about ten minutes, the computer was turned off and when I rebooted the system, a blue screen appears and then quickly just restarts. I have tried safe mode and last good configuration but the problem persist. I have also done the hard disk scan chkdsk / r using Recovery Console in Windows then I rebooted. Mode normal and safe did not work this time but when I chose the last good configuration windows started normal. It helped me you can follow the same.
Re: BSOD 7B after Combofix freeze
It is true that I should be careful before using combofix. It served me well from the time I am using this, I have done a scan with Malwarebytes and it got me out a bunch of malware and then torjans. However, I have a small problem with the firewall COMODO, I installed it yesterday and it seems not to work as pre the requirement. Can you advise me to configure it properly?
Re: BSOD 7B after Combofix freeze
I have used Comodo, and you just need to follow these steps that I have mentioned. Start>> run>> steps: combofix / u; then valid for entry. Then download ComboFix (by sUBs).Save on your desktop. Double-click ComboFix.exe and follow the instructions. When it has finished, a report will appear on the screen (text file). Post the contents of the report in your next reply. The report is also saved here: C: \ ComboFix.txt. I hope this will help you.
Re: BSOD 7B after Combofix freeze
For solving the problem you can also try to use ToolsCleaner. Save it to your desktop. Click Search and let the scan is complete. Click Delete to finalize. You can if you wish, you use the optional options. Click Exit, and that report can be created. Post the C: \ TCleaner.txt. Finally did a Bitdefender online scan with Internet Explorer Clicking on the button “analyze”. Post the final report infection if detected.
Re: BSOD 7B after Combofix freeze
Here are the steps that I have tried. Download ComboFix (by sUBs) renamed worksnow.exe. Save on your desktop. Double-click on worksnow.exe and follow the instructions. When it has finished, a report will appear on the screen (text file). Post the contents of the report in your next reply. The report is also saved here: C: \ ComboFix.txt
But it does not beep after clicking combofix message speaks active but not had time to read and update combofix after that it leaves a message "Combofix is not a valid win32 application" . can you suggest a better solution for this problem.
Re: BSOD 7B after Combofix freeze
I am advised that this virus has infected my computer, but refuses to delete or quarantine it. At first, I did not notice any particular problem apart from the fact that the virus continues to display this warning window. I think I have "recovered" this virus by surfing the net. I installed ccleaner and did the cleaning required. I also include the reports as attachments. Thank you in advance for your help.
