I am using a mac laptop and i have bought a new logitech quickcam which i want to use on this laptop. Now the problem is that i am not able to install this webcam on this laptop. Is there anybody who has installed this webcam on mac, It would be better if somebody can give me steps to install it.
Most probably there would be a driver issue which you need to install on your mac laptop. Actually unless you install the proper driver on your mac operating system, You will not be able to use your quickcam on any application which is running on your computer. Even you have not provided the proper model of the logitech which is also considerable while installing the drivers for your webcam.
I guess your issue is related to the drivers of your mac operating system but again as you have not mentioned the version of mac operating system which you have installed on laptop. Actually it might also happen that you have installed the driver of some other mac os instead of installing the one which is on your laptop.
In conclusion this camera is suitable for virtually everything, but Li is not hope be in high resolution on the couriers! It may also be used as a surveillance system and others, but I think that for 70 euros its worth. So I recommend this for those who have webCMS a very degree of connection speed, for professionals, but should not take it as a new toy!
From what I can see logitech is using the IOXperts driver in its most basic form. I have a QC 4000 on OS 10.4 and the best I can do is the video but none of the other features that come with the pro i.e. zoom, face following work.
Yes, I see a picture but for the price. Mac users should buy an iSight because logitech HATES MAC!!!! Worst company ever i have seen and doesn't even support the QC 3000!!!

I do not have much idea about the mac os x but it is much simple for installing the Logitech Quickcam on windows operating system. Anyway, I guess the way to install the webcam on windows os or mac os would not be differing in many way. Installing the webcam is to just connect your webcam to the running system and then follow the given instructions by the operating system. If your mac os would be having all the needed drivers then it would install it automatically but with your permissions.
