The operating system on the computer has got corrupt due to which the laptop is not starting. Operating system of the computer has lot of files which are associated to it. If any of the files which is associated to the operating system is corrupt or missing on the computer then the system will freeze frequently. You will have to reinstall the operating system on the computer. Insert the installation disk of the operating system which you are using and then boot the system from the installation disk. Let the installer load and give the installation option. Either repair the current windows installation or install a fresh copy of Windows operating system. Let the procedure complete and then check if the computer is working properly or not.

There is battery located on the motherboard of the laptop which is responsible for saving the settings which are required for the laptop to boot. Open the laptop and locate the battery on the motherboard. Remove the battery and check the voltage across the battery using a digital multimeter. The voltage of the battery should be between 2.5 to 3 volts. If the voltage of the battery is less than 2.5 volts then replace the battery. After replacing the battery, the laptop will boot.
Re: Boot Issues with Acer Aspire 5335
If the system is not able to access the system memory then the computer will not boot. Sometimes the RAM chips get dislocated from the RAM slots, then the system will not boot as the files which are required for the operating system to boot are not copied to the RAM. Open the laptop and remove all the RAM chips from their respective slots. Clean the connecting terminals of the RAM and replace it back in its respective slots. Try booting the system. If there are multiple RAM chips then try booting the system using a Single RAM chips. If for a particular RAM chips if the system does not boot, then discard the chip as it may be faulty.
