Internet connectivity, via ethernet cable

i recently installed windows 7 x64 on my HP HDX X16T-1200 CTO Premium Notebook PC
and now the problem is that i cant connect to the internet via ethernet card (lan cable), but i can still do file sharing and data transfer, only the internet connection is not possible,
i am able to use internet only through the wifi connectivity,
so what should be done to get rid of this problem??

quest.sid i think you need to reinstall your LAN drivers and have a check for the same, if you are sitting facing same issue then when you are connect it are your getting any error message, then revert back to this thread, but i think reinstalling drivers and reconfiguring your LAN would solve your problem.

i've already tried this thing...
