You have to follow the simple procedure to solve your issues,You need to enter only in the BIOS setup and make some changes and save with the appropriate action and you would get the fresh installation and implementation settings and action of your BIOS.
You need to try to go into the BIOS setup and change the loading option to default and save the settings and get exit from there and try to restart your computer system.

If you need to uninstall the BIOS then you can do one thing which would be very beneficial for you to do.
You can Uninstall the whole BIOS and the updates would be automatically and you can be able to get new one unused BIOS and make a fresh installation of the BIOS and you would be free from the complexity of the Unistallation of Updates only.
But before performing the Uninstall, you need to be sure about the specific software should be available to install the fresh one again.

Thank you very much for posting this most useful information and i have performed this on my computer system. I searched this issue on different forums but not getting any help from others.
I did the same thing that you have suggested me. But one question,I would like to ask you .Why would Toshiba put out a BIOS update that screws with the operating system?

The operating system and hardware are structure within very complex procedures and the interaction with different type of supports on the hardware level and software level should also be applied and followed.
The BIOS update didn't mess with the operating system.Actually, the Updation of the BIOS NOT completely updating the BIOS after entering the bios and loading configuration defaults PRIOR to updating the BIOS and then just after updating the BIOS is what caused the issues. You should not blame on the manufacturer for your own unawareness.
